The Quilo FLT, GEN 2! WHAT! GEN 2?

After launching the original FLT in December 2022, we stayed in touch with our enthusiastic ambassadors and consumers, gathering lots of feedback and suggestions. It was so exciting and constructive that we had to take the FLT concept further and create a new version of this exceptional shoe to raise the bar even higher.

And this time in an amazing "stealth" black... yes sir!

WHY FLT >>

The pedaling dynamics in snow are key to good traction and power transfer to the pedals. When it comes to platform pedals, we know that maximum contact between the shoe and pedal is essential; we don’t want poor positioning, nor do we want the sharp pedal pins to fit between the sole’s lugs. From now on, there’s no need to ride with your summer shoes to get that perfect contact and achieve the desired power transfer.

STEP 1, FORT WILLIAMS OUTSOLE >>

We keep the best outsole for this job, the one from the Italians at Vibram®. The choice of compound for flat pedal shoes is key. We wanted it to feel like a summer shoe, pleasant and grippy. After many tests and achieving maximum grip, we are convinced that for winter, the best compound is "XS Trek," nothing else.

STEP 2, HIGHER UPPER AND DUAL QUICK LACE SYSTEM >>

The original FLT, designed with a single lace set and ARC pulley lacing technology, was an excellent choice for low shoes.

We bring back the 21 cm height from the ground (like the original Quilo). You can easily cover the top of the shoe with your pants, and snow will never get inside the shoe. Now higher, we have the dual quick lace system with automatic locking that has proven its strength and simplicity over the years.

STEP 3, PROTECTION >>

The FLT must withstand the sharpest pedal pins, which is why we cover the toe box area tip, the inside of the boot, and the heel with very durable rubber. Everything is firmly cemented and stitched to the boot itself.

STEP 4, WARMTH AND COMFORT >>

The exterior is made of sturdy synthetic leather panels with a matte black finish. The internal materials were specifically chosen to eliminate as much moisture as possible. The innermost layer is a breathable material that dries quickly. The top of the boot is fleece for added comfort, and the "LISZT AIR TOEBOX" is a unique design to maximize comfort and keep toes as warm as possible.

The Quilo series, the lightest boot in the industry offering an excellent "cold protection" rating. You’ll find 200g of 3M Thinsulate™ insulation as well as a highly effective ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) thermal wall. More comfortable to walk in with greater ankle flexibility, all made possible by the combination of the soft and flexible Vibram® sole with a durable yet flexible 600D fabric upper.

The FLT is undoubtedly the one and only winter cycling shoe for platform pedals on the market.
