The 31.8 and 22.2 clamp collars are standalone collars: these collars allow the mounting/attachment of the remote control body onto the handlebars of cyclists who do not have or do not want to attach the remote control body of the dropper post to an existing brake clamp/support.

The SRAM MMX, Shimano I-Spec EV, and I-SPEC-II adapters are not clamps – these adapters allow the mounting/attachment of the remote control body onto the cyclist’s existing brake clamp/support.
