ShieldWall System - Leaves nothing to be desired

The ShieldWall system combines the optimal combination of high puncture protection and low rolling resistance with low weight. This is made possible by an additional puncture protection layer all around, made of finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire great resistance to punctures and damage. Despite its extra layer, the tire has very good damping properties and great flexibility to perfectly adapt to the ground. The revolutionary tubeless ready bead allows easy and simple tire mounting. For best sealing and usage results, we recommend using the new Continental RevoSealant sealant.

The low-cost version in a supple tire with the same tread and PureGrip Compound

This rubber blend, explicitly named "PureGrip," ranks just behind the Conti's BlackChili compound and is used in their performance products in both road cycling and MTB sectors. While offering excellent grip, it is also durable and very resistant – two characteristics of Continental tires, which are exclusively manufactured at the Hefei factory (Asia).

Additionally, the performance series tires feature a honeycomb sidewall design. It also has a high-density 180 tpi casing.
