The flexible Specialized S-Works Mondo 2Bliss Ready 28'' tire - a concentration of endurance performance

The Specialized S-Works Mondo is a robust, highly efficient, and very grippy road tire for long distances. In all weather conditions, on well-paved roads as well as rough roads, it impresses with its low rolling resistance, light weight, and fabulous puncture protection. The tire is based on a combination of the fast-rolling GRIPTON-T2 rubber compound for the tread and the high-traction GRIPTON-T5 compound on the sidewalls. A double protective layer - Grid Race in polyamide and BlackBelt in Kevlar - defends the supple 120 TPI casing against punctures and cuts. The 2Bliss-Ready technology allows the S-Works Mondo to be used tubeless.

GRIPTON T5 is a variation of Specialized’s renowned GRIPTON rubber compound, which is based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. It is a cross-country compound that rolls quickly, is very durable, and offers good traction. The focus is on speed, agility, and puncture protection. T stands for “Tread Compound” and the number 5, on a scale from 1 to 10 (where extremes 1 and 10 do not exist), indicates the level of damping and road grip – which here is in the middle range.
