Information
Add to that a construction that combines quality, affordable price, and durability, and you get the ideal partner for trails, wherever they are and whatever their difficulty level.
What do you get when you pair a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel? The Stumpjumper EVO Expert. With all the advantages of a 29er in terms of traction and handling, but with a smaller, more maneuverable rear wheel, this setup suits a more playful style. It feels right at home in the bike park and is a real joy to unleash on the trails.
All the travel in the world is useless without proper tuning and shock kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, Specialized prioritized kinematic performance. By applying lessons learned during the Enduro development, then continuing with over 1,000 hours of suspension development both in the field and in the lab, they not only improved the Stumpjumper’s pedaling performance but made it more efficient, more agile, and livelier. They increased the anti-squat so the suspension better resists pedal bob, improving performance on bumps when hitting square edges.
The new Stumpjumper EVO’s S-Sizing geometry is the most progressive Specialized has made to date. Long, low, narrow, short fork, steeper seat tube angle — these are the demands of modern progressive riding. That’s why the new Stumpjumper EVO’s geometry is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the bottom bracket height by 10 mm, adjust the head tube angle by two degrees, and make these adjustments independently. Finally, if you want to go “mullet” mode, the EVO lets you use a 27.5-inch rear wheel paired with a 29-inch front wheel.
Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that guarantees benchmark handling and flawless performance, no matter the frame or rider size. Whether you’re a young rider excited to jump on an S1 or a DH enthusiast needing the long S6, you’ll experience the same ride qualities — tight cornering and balanced front and rear stiffness — at the lightest possible weight.
Specialized introduced the SWAT™ door on the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding space INSIDE your frame for essentials like pumps and spare tubes, instantly making jersey pockets redundant. With the new Stumpjumper, they increased the volume and added a SWAT™ bladder, giving you an extra 22oz of water storage — the size of a small water bottle — hidden inside your down tube.
