PUREGRIP TECHNOLOGY

Based on activated silica compounds, this technology was originally designed as a performance-level compound, but after intensive development in our Korbach research and development department, a new advanced compound with exceptional grip and cross-country properties was developed. This new rubber blend, explicitly named "PureGrip," ranks just behind our BlackChili Compound and is used in our performance products in both road and mountain bike sectors. While offering excellent grip, it is also durable and highly resistant—two characteristics of Continental tires, which are exclusively manufactured at the Hefei factory (Asia).

PROTECTIVE WALL

The ShieldWall system combines the optimal mix of high puncture protection and low rolling resistance with low weight. This is made possible by an additional puncture protection layer around the entire circumference, made of finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire high resistance to punctures and damage. Despite its extra layer, the tire has very good damping properties and great flexibility to perfectly adapt to the ground. The revolutionary tubeless-ready bead allows easy and simple tire mounting. For the best sealing and performance results, we recommend using the new Continental RevoSealant sealant.

TUBELESS READY

Our casing construction is robust and impermeable against damage and foreign object penetration. The result: versatile, lightweight, and an attractive design. Additionally, tires made with this technology can be used tubeless or with an inner tube.
